What Dragon is and how it works.
Dragon, our process optimisation software, allows printing first time right, faster, with 1 click, without changes to hardware.
Dragon takes a gcode file for a specific printer and material and then, based on our polymer physics models, optimises for best quality and highest speed.
Large format additive manufacturing operators can enter their environment temperature, select printers and materials and upload their gcode. With one click and within minutes they receive an updated table of layer times or a new gcode file.
What’s the output of Dragon?
Dragon is an adaptive layer time model, that optimises each layer individually, trying to get the optimal thermal index for each layer. Layer times are adapted to match that thermal index, resulting in first time right, high quality and faster printing.

Materials, printers & gcode & how we integrate.
Materials - From day 1 we support all polycore materials from launch partners. Characterising materials is a key part of our capability. Connect us with your material supplier!
Printers - Characterise your large format printer with one easy test print.
Gcode - We support gcode generated by a variety of slicers and toolpath engines, including Cura, Simplify3D, Rhino/Grasshopper based slicers, Moduleworks and many more. If we don't yet support your flavour of gcode, we can add it free of charge.
We have two options for material characterisation.
A local laboratory provides basic data on the material and we ask you to do 1 test print. This works but doesn’t unlock the full power of Dragon.
You, or the material provider, send us material samples and we do the full range of testing & printing to make sure that Dragon & the material are perfectly in tune.
